Mesa Temple Garden Christmas Lights
What: The annual Mesa Temple Garden Christmas Lights display conveys peace and goodwill of the season with a unique and spectacular exhibit of hundreds of thousands of lights that serve as a backdrop for the sounds of the holidays.
When: Wednesday December 17, 2014
Departure: Leave Sun City Grand at 3:30 PM and return about 9:30 PM
Where: 525 E. Main Street in Mesa

Who: On a first come/first served basis group size limited to 20 club members
Additional Information: The gardens are lit beginning Friday, November 28, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and on each subsequent night during those same hours through December 31, 2014. Nightly concerts are presented at 7 p.m. through Wednesday, December 25th. The event attracts about one million visitors every year, and features hundreds of thousands of colorful lights, a large nativity display, and holiday dioramas that blanket the garden area of the Mesa Arizona Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Camera Equipment: All cameras are welcome. Since we will be shooting at twilight/after dark we recommend you also consider bringing the following items: tripod, shutter cable release or way to delay the release, small flashlight or head lamp, extra memory cards and a spare battery.
Meals: We will spend about two hours photographing the gardens and then travel to Organ Stop Pizza, home of the Mighty Wurlitzer Pipe Organ for a pizza and additional photo ops.
Car Pools: We will meet in the parking lot outside of Angela's at 3:15 to form car pools and depart at 3:30. Use the parking lot on the south side of Remington drive farthest from the restaurant.
Cost: Passengers will split $15 for gas. You will also need money for your pizza. Admission to the Mesa Arizona Temple Gardens Christmas Lights and Concert Series is free. Parking is free.
